GO Health is a shared services arrangement that promotes the necessary safe and healthy environment, and health behaviors, that lead to improved health outcomes and quality of life.

Works towards a prepared and resilient community through planning, drills and exercises. Responds to existing
Enforces health and safety laws having to do with food, lead, animal bites, drinking water, sewage, children’s camps, campgrounds, etc.
Promotes health, safety and healthy lifestyles. Services are provided through free resources and referrals, public programs, etc.
Ensuring the accuracy of over 1,100 commercial weighing and measuring devices in over 220 locations

Public Health is what we do together as a society to ensure the conditions in which everyone can be healthy. GO Health staff are the Chief Health Strategists partnering across multiple sectors and leveraging data and resources to address social, environmental, and economic conditions that affect health and health equity. -CDC

For current career openings check either the Genesee County Human Resources Department or the Orleans County Personnel Office webpages. Positions in both of the Health Departments are civil service and follow NYS civil service guidelines.
Interns: GO Health also works with secondary institutions to provide unpaid internships. Intern must be enrolled in a credited course that requires an internship.
